Downtown Birmingham Hometown Parade – in Downtown Birmingham. The event will feature children’s activities, live entertainment and food inside Shain Park immediately following the parade. This event is a celebration of the Birmingham community and schools. Participation offers an opportunity for businesses, organizations, individuals, schools and groups to promote themselves to the community. People of all ages come to town to celebrate and enjoy the family-fun festivities. The half-mile parade route travels through the charming downtown with many shops and restaurants.
The parade is a treasured community tradition that spans more than 40 years. It adds to Birmingham’s sense of community and offers friends and neighbors a chance to visit along the parade route while enjoying community participants, local organizations, performers, and more.
